Are you the Perfect Mom?

I was chatting with another mom earlier this week, and we were talking about our "mess-ups" for the week. If I can be honest, it's not that I enjoy listening to other mom's talk about their flaws, but it's so refreshing to hear I'm not the only one. When I hear another mom express their frustrations, emotions, joys, fears, etc. I immediately raise my hand and say, "Me too girlfriend!"

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw my Monday post. If you missed it, here's the highlight:

•Do what's best for you

•Where you are as a mom is going to be a testimony; keep going

•Don't compare yourself to other mom's. You don't know their stories

•No one else can do what you're doing

A friend of mine complimented me on how I am as a Mom and said, "you're killing it!!" Some days, weeks, or even months, we're in survival mode. As women, we have mastered "making it look easy." My own mother still makes parenting look like a cake walk. Like how?! Mom's are just set up different...in a good way!

As my new mom friend at the bank completed everything, I told her she is a great mom! Rather you're cutting your kiwi's into stars, and making Instagramable meals, or not at all, you're still doing a dynamic job. The mom placed her hand over her heart and gave a heartfelt "thank you!!"

Contrary to popular belief, there is no perfect mom. However, you are perfect for your child(ren). You were specifically assigned and designed for your child(ren). Keep giving it all you've got, and don't let the imperfect, perfect mom's cloud your self-esteem.

Sprinkled with love,

B. Mommy Sprinkles
