Postpartum Update

Whew chile!! Why didn’t anyone warn me about the actual imbalance of #hormones?!


I’m seven months in, and #postpartum is a real thing. I would see stories online, hear stories from others, and of course I thought to myself, that would never be me. We can’t predict what our bodies will do, or how life will take a turn and shift the #energy.


Due to life shifts, I’ve had more #stressors than I thought I would have, and my body has reacted to the stress in interesting ways. Not only has my blood pressure increased, but I have hormonal acne. I look in the mirror and think, “Am I 13 again? Where are these pimples coming from?” After talking to my doctor, the best decision is to make some true life changes in order to decrease my stress levels, and survive this stage of #postpartum.


I have found much solace in being more open and honest about my struggles; especially with other mom’s. I’m typically pretty reserved when it comes to my life, but it’s refreshing to know, I’m not alone.


If you’re reading this, stay encouraged and know this is only a season. Our bodies have (and still) are going through so much. As of lately, I’m on blood pressure medication, incorporating smaller workouts, and utilizing a mandala coloring book to relax my body and thoughts.
