Christmas 2023

You know what they say, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” Honestly, #Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year for so many reasons. From the lights, movies, treats/desserts, I love it all.

This year, it’s so different. If I can be transparent, this Christmas is very different for me. It’s my last year going from one to two kids and my nerves are everywhere. So much life has changed this year, but I’m also growing life inside of me. It’s a beautiful #experience, but I’m human and have human emotions. Lots of #moms I have spoken to have shared their #anxieties about their growing families and making amazing memories for the holidays. Honestly, we’re all in the same boat.

This year for Christmas, I really wanted to focus on being present in the moment, and seeing the beauty in things, the same way my toddler does. He hasn’t reached the age of counting the presents under the tree, but truly embracing the small things about the holidays. I really appreciate that lesson.

If you’re not able to do a whole lot this year, you’re still a good mom. If you didn’t take Christmas pictures, you’re still a good mom. If you don’t have matching pajamas, you’re still a good mom. If you didn’t get the chance to send Christmas cards, you’re still a good mom. Find the joy in the small things like our kids too. Trust me, your #perspective will shift a tad; even if it’s for a moment.
