It’s Fall Already?!?

Seriously, I feel like with each passing year, the days go faster. Once pumpkin spice got on the menu at every restaurant, that means Thanksgiving/Christmas is tomorrow. Technically, the first day of Fall is September 23rd, which is around the corner.
The older I get, the more I look at seasons so differently. I remember growing up (and even in my adult years), my Mother would say, "seasons change." You know what, they really do!! There's a shift in time, environment, mood, activities, mentality, etc. As a mom, we have to constantly regulate each shift and each emotion to assure we're not taking it out on our children and loved ones. I'm guilty (like many) of having bad moments in my day and just may not be myself. We're all human. We're mom's. I get it. While it's still early, let's figure out some ways to tackle the seasonal shift proactively!
Here's a list of things to do to prepare:
•Find your happy place (a physical place, a meal/snack)
•Find something or someone who makes you laugh
•Find something special about nighttime. Look for the stars; have movie nights; make a tent and eat dinner inside the tent; make s'mores.
•Find new fall recipes! It's soup season everyone!
•Bake with your kids! There are so many cool and fun recipes for fall/Halloween!
•Drink Apple Cider, or hot chocolate, or dare I say....Pumpkin spice lattes (by now you should be able to tell that's my fave)!
•Workout (if time permits). Life happens, so no pressure from me!
•Make an appointment with your therapist. We all need tools to make it through.
In the coming week, I'll be compiling a list of things to do with the kiddos, as well as some ideas for date night and girls day!
I pray there's some sprinkles of smiles, love, and laughter in your week!
Sprinkled with Love,
B. Mommy Sprinkles
